Mazda is really the most underrated car brand. Got my wife a 2021 cx5 and it’s great! I will be buying the mazda 3 for myself when I retire my 98 Toyota Avalon. Very impressive cars for the price.

Matt, You are a true car guy but now you are also a family guy. Family comes first. Keep chasing your dreams - you had to make a tough decision (well thought out) but your character showed you the right path to take for your family. Love your videos and I was psyched when you landed the "car of your dreams". BTW you are not a failure, you will bounce back. I had a similar situation a few years back when I sold my 2SS. I still miss it but I know I made the right decision. Hang in there and keep doing great reviews.

If you have owned it for six years, shouldn't it be paid off by now or at least close to it? Bro, don't sell it! That car is more than just a car to you it's too important to you to let it go. You can make it work. There are plenty of ways to make more income. This is so sad 😞

I think the reason for the channel not doing well is tied to the car market being in the worst shape its been in a while. Prices are out of control, interest rates are predatory, and the quality of vehicles is also in the toilet. Realistically there aren't any vehicles that I am particularly interested in at this moment so I am naturally consuming less review content.

Great review, people always overlook that this thing is competing against some really boring cars at the same price point.

I'd like this in a RX-8 which is a stretched Miata hardtop.

This is nice, but for around 80 grand, I’m probably going to lean towards my dream car, a factory warrantied 427 cobra replica with V-8, Tremec six speed, four wheel independent suspension, etc. And it will be very lightweight!

Really great camera angles! I've had a 2018 and 2021 CX-5 NA and unfortunately, now have a 2024 CX-50 NA because I thought it looked better. Miss the CX-5, much better than the CX-50 overall.

Saw my first Crown on the road a few weeks ago. It’s a good looking car but it doesn’t seem to be selling well by how many I actually see on the road. How are they selling? Do you know the sales figure to date since introduction?

I’ve had my 2021 Signature for 3 years now. It’s been a great car, but I’ve had a few issues with it: oil consumption issue fixed under warranty, numerous rattles in the doors that seem to come and go, and rust started developing in the door hinges. I live in Texas and my car stays garaged and babied. I have 23k miles on it now.

I would never trust a Jeep/Chrysler/Ram product with this much complexity. Consumer Reports puts Chrysler dead last of 30 companies for reliability.

As unique as the car is, even given it's "cool" factor, the pricing is just a bit high by today's standards. For a quarter of the price you can get practically the same car by buying a C6 Grand Sport Corvette. You won't have to wait weeks or months for the car, you'll have money left over to modify it as you like with about $50k-$60k left over and you still have something just as fun. I do love the concept of it though.

In 2020 a top-spec, grand touring CX-5 was under $30k. In 4 years, 30% price increase. What a joke.

Eh. More standard equipment on the hornet. Hornet has a Better value at $30k and just over 30, I can add heated seats and wheel. This Mazda is only for people who subscribe to consumer reports and think this is on par with Toyota and Honda reliability. The hornet drives better , has a nice interior as well and more standard power WITH AWD. I’d definitely take this Mazda as a second option but the 6 speed is garbage. I get it may “work well” but you can’t argue with ratios and gear spacing. Rather the higher geared cars hunt, they deliver power better and keep the RPMS low.

With all these problems, I'd be shocked with ownership of a used one. 😀

Totally agree its gotten better with age, but goddamn this thing needs a redesign
